Venus Express mission has been launched november 9, at 04:33 CET by a Soyuz-Fregat rocket, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazahkstan. The Venus Express mission has been an important news item this week, worldwide.

The beautiful animations used to explain and illustrate the mission have been produced by AOES Medialab.



The Venus Express mission is part of ESA's Science Programme. It will study Venus’ complex dynamics and chemistry, and the interactions between the atmosphere and the surface, which will give clues about surface’s characteristics. Visit ESA's website for more information.
